Let’s Give These Sweeties A Happy Ending

Garlic and Ginger have not had an easy time of it.

The owner who surrendered them said Garlic “was hit by a truck”, and has some head/eye damage.  Ginger has rope burn on her right back leg, which is rubbed raw with some scarring.  Both Garlic and Ginger are being kept in the medical ward because Garlic needed medical care but could not bear to be separated from Ginger.  Clearly, they are a bonded pair and should be adopted together.

Both dogs are currently on a legal hold, pending an investigation into possible cruelty/neglect.

GINGER is a 5yo, 64lb red and white female american pit bull terrier/american staffordshire terrier, # A1044430

GARLIC is a 5yo, 74.8 lb male red and white american pit bull terrier/american staffordshire terrier, # A1044429

They are being held in Manhattan but are available for adoption or foster in the greater NE United States area.

Getting two large pit bulls adopted out together from a high kill shelter is a tall order; let’s do our best to give these two sweeties the love they deserve in a forever home.
